What is TEFL?

Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL, also known as TESOL) refers to the sector of education that deals with English as a second language (ESL). Native English speakers, or those fluent in the language, are in demand to help improve speaking and language usage skills, particularly in Asia and Latin America.

If you are educated to tertiary level, a one-month intensive course training you in methodology, grammar and linguistics will prepare you for a classroom of kids (or adults). With a little experience you can soon be applying for TEFL jobs around the world. Our particular course emphasises practicums with real classroom experience to firmly establish your confidence.

Chiang Mai is frequently voted as a favourite travel and retirement city. It’s also a popular place to take a TEFL course, with its laid back, ancient, charm, good infrastructure and affordable living. It has a comfortable climate year-round and is surrounded by mountainous national parks. Thailand itself is popular with travellers and expats on account of its friendly people, cultural interest and comfortable lifestyle.
