Correct accreditation matters to us immensely, the TEFL industry is noted for lacking credibility among the many courses on offer. The 120-hour course we present is fully accredited by TEFL International (TI), one of the largest organisations in the ESL business. TI provides independent review and moderation of our course content along with pre and post monitoring. This curriculum meets international standards which require a minimum of 120 hours, six observed teaching practicums, basic teaching fundamentals, methodology, grammar, language awareness and testing assessment. We are the only TEFL course in Chiang Mai, apart from CELTA, correctly accredited by an international TEFL organisation, making your certificate valid in other countries should you choose to teach elsewhere.
TEFL International has established itself over the past eight years as a widely recognised qualification accepted in many schools worldwide. It presently consists of a network of 30 centres in 20 countries on five continents. Its curriculum is validated and moderated by Fort Hays State University in the United States. They award 3 (transferable) credits towards their TESOL Masters program, making the TEFL International curriculum the only such globally available TEFL certificate in the world with university credits.

What exactly is TEFL?
TEFL is a widely used acronym for teaching English as a foreign language, and a number of one-month courses are offered around the world to train teachers. TEFL is NOT a central organisation that monitors and validates qualifications. There is no such thing in fact, only several rival accreditation organisations including TEFL International (TI), Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) and Trinity, each boasting their own individual validity. These certificates offer some assurance of quality and international recognition but ultimately the effectiveness of the courses and success of the students depends on each individual establishment. It’s advisable that you research TEFL accreditations fully.
