Meet the staff

The company: UniTEFL is managed by Uni Training International (ltd), a registered Thai company, operating under the MoE licensed Red Dot language school. Its staff has several years experience in TEFL administration and running language-based courses within the framework of education services in Thailand. The company is co-owned by MediaKids Academy, one of Thailand’s largest teacher recruitment/manpower companies.

The courses: have been developed and refined over the past five years in conjunction with a local university, and they draw on several sources for curriculum input including TEFL International, which monitors the standards of training and course material. The 120 hour (one month) format meets industry standards for qualifying as a TEFL teacher, and includes a total of six hours classroom practicum. Also included is methodology specifically for teaching children, as well as foreign culture considerations. Our courses seldom have more than 12 per class, for a more focused experience.

The accreditation: the UniTEFL certificate is accredited by TEFL International (TI) which operates in 20 countries under validation from Fort Hays University who award 3 credits (transferable) from their TESOL under-graduate program. TI comprises some 30 centres worldwide, and their certificate is widely accepted by schools teaching English as a foreign language. Read more on accreditation.
